WICHITA, Kan. -

Thieves broke into a City of Wichita facility over the weekend, taking several vehicles and tools.

Wichita Police said the burglary happened sometime between 9:30 p.m. Saturday and 6 a.m. Sunday at the city facility near south Meridian and west 55th St. south.

Two pickups and trailers were taken from the property. One pickup and trailer was since been recovered. Police are still looking for a 2007 Chevy pickup, as well as a trailer with City of Wichita markings. The pickup has a Kansas plate of 69402.

Police are also looking for a bobcat utility vehicle, various tools and gardening equipment taken during the burglary. Items include a Stihl brand edger, Stihl brand power pruner, 3 Stihl chain saws, 4 Stihl brand back pack leaf blowers, 7 Stihl brand weed eaters and a red Craftsman tool box with misc tools.

Lt. James Espinonsa, Wichita Police, said it is unclear how the thieves got onto the property. The loss is valued at $100,000.
