TOPEKA, Kan. -

A Lawrence woman is ordered to repay more than $11,000 after being found guilty of Medicaid fraud according to Kansas Attorney General Derek Schmidt.

Penny Miller, 49, was accused of billing for home health services while a Medicaid beneficiary was hospitalized from January 2009 to December 2011.

After pleading no contest to making the false claim, a Douglas County Judge adjudged her guilty and ordered her to repay $11,128.71.

Sentencing is scheduled for August 1.
