LYON COUNTY, Kan. -

Two barn fires in Lyon County on Wednesday, are now being called arson.

The fires occurred near Reading in the 2400 block of Road V and the 2300 block of Road Y. The two locations are within 50 miles of each other. The Lyon County Sheriff, Jeff Cope, told KVOE News Thursday, that the fires are being investigated as arson.

Cope said, potential natural factors are now ruled out.  KVOE reports that there were no injuries, but both barns were destroyed.

There is a $1000  reward being offered for any information in relation to the fires.
