SEDGWICK COUNTY, Kan. -

The Sedgwick County Sheriff wants residents to be on the lookout for mail thieves. According to the sheriff, an unknown person took mail from twelve mailboxes in the 7000 block of N. 143rd Street East and 3000 N. 143rd Street East.

It happened between December 7 at 5:45 pm and December 8 at 9:00 am.
The theft was discovered after a resident found a pile of junk mail lying in the street near one of the mailboxes.

Authorities aren’t sure what mail was taken, but they recommend residents pay close attention to their credit card statements and credit reports.
