WICHITA, Kan. -

Wichita Police may have shot a man while responding to a domestic disturbance in south Wichita.

Police were called to the scene near Everett and West Graber, near 31st St. South and Meridian, just before noon Tuesday.

As officers arrived, a suicidal man fired gunshots. Officers entered the home and confronted the man.

Police told the man to drop his weapon, and he refused. During the confrontation, officers fired their weapons, but they are investigating whether their shots hit the man.

The man, in his 30s, was taken to a nearby hospital in critical condition.

The case remains under investigation.
