WICHITA, Kan. -

A Wichita man remains hospitalized after crashing into a concrete bridge support on I-135.

It happened in the northbound lanes of the canal route, near the Pawnee exit, around 12:30 a.m. Sunday.

According to the Kansas Highway Patrol, 24-year-old Diamond Wilson drove his vehicle off the roadway, and struck a bridge support for the pedestrian walkover.

Troopers said he was not wearing a seat belt. Wilson remains in a Wichita hospital in critical condition.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
