The Pratt County Sheriff’s Office is calling a that happened Wednesday morning accidental.

It happened around 11:30 a.m. in an area south of the Ninnescah River and east of Lemon Park in Pratt.

The sheriff's office said two teens, ages 15 and 16, were target practicing when they shot a man in the leg. The man was homeless and sleeping behind a trash barrel that was being shot.

The boys called for help after the shooting, and the 42-year-old victim was taken to Pratt County Regional Medical Center for treatment.
