A 37-year-old man was arrested after a stabbing at bus stop in 2700 block of north Hillside.

Police Lt. Doug Nolte said the incident began with a wallet found inside union rescue mission 2800 north Hillside just after 6 a.m. Thursday.

There was a confrontation with an older man, who was stabbed in stomach by 37-year-old man at bus stop. The 65-year-man walked back to the mission, where police say his organs were exposed.

He was taken to hospital for surgery and the other man was arrested and taken to jail suspected of aggravated battery charges. The victim's injuries do not appear to be not life threatening.

The knife was recovered at the scene.
