MCPHERSON, Kan. -

A McPherson Elementary school teacher, in a coma after being hurt in a head-on crash, has been moved from Wichita to a rehabilitation hospital in Lincoln, Neb., for treatment.

Mija Stockman was driving to work Dec. 20 when another car lost control on the ice, crossing the center lane and hitting her. The crash fractured her skull, causing swelling in her brain.

The McPherson Co Sheriff's Department says a pick-up truck driven by Jeffrey Davis of Hesperia, Calif.,, crossed the center line and hit Mija Stockman's car head on.  He then spun around until he was facing the opposite direction, when the car behind Stockman hit his truck.

"We are just waiting for her to wake up and we just go from there," said Mija's Husband Shawn Stockman, said last month.

While Stockman and his three daughters wait for more answers from doctors, they are remembering all the great things about her.

"Everyone will say it's her smile and her outgoing generosity," Shawn Stockman said. "She is so tender hearted and loving, she doesn't meet a stranger."
