WICHITA, Kan. -

More than 100 people who have completed their requirements for United States citizenship will take an oath of citizenship in downtown Wichita.

The ceremony begins at Intrust Bank Arena at 7 p.m. Monday. Naturalization is the process by which immigrants not born in the USA become citizens. After passing a test, agreeing to accept the responsibilities of U.S. citizenship and pledging to support and defend the U.S. Constitution and laws, citizenship is granted.

Dr. Neeli Bendapudi, Dean of the University of Kansas School of Business, will be the featured speaker.

The event is free and open to the public. It will be streamed live on kwch.com.
