Police seek vehicle in hit and run

WICHITA, Kan. -

Two men are hospitalized after they are hit by a vehicle in north Wichita.

It happened shortly after midnight Saturday morning in the 1900 block of E. 12th street. The two men were walking in the street when they were hit by a vehicle.

Neighbors tell Eyewitness News they rushed outside after hearing a loud thud outside their home. They found one man lying in the gutter and a second on the other side of the neighbor's parked car. They quickly called 911.

The two men are in their late 30's. They were rushed to the hospital, one in critical condition, the other in serious conditions.

At this time police believe it was an accident saying they have no "intent."

They are looking for a dark colored 4-door Saab with heavy front-end damage and a broken windshield.

Neighbors said most of the debris from the vehicle has been cleaned up by police, but shattered glass still lies in the street.
