One person has died, and three others were injured after a rollover accident in western Kansas.

It happened on 30 West Road, north of 70 South Road around 12:30 a.m. Tuesday. According to the Kansas Highway Patrol, 22-year-old Dal Schultz, Grainfield, was driving north when his pickup hit an embankment, overturned several times, and came to a rest on the driver's side.

Schultz died at the scene.

Three passengers were hurt: 22-year-old Kraig Siruta of Oakley, 20-year-old Emily Vollbracht of Grinnell, and 21-year-old Carollyn Mense of Grinnell. All were taken to a nearby hospital for treatment.

Troopers said Schultz and the passengers were wearing seatbelts.
