SALINE COUNTY, Kan. -

Two men are hospitalized after a crash late Tuesday in Saline County. According to the Kansas Highway Patrol, a Suzuki Grand Vitara was speeding north on 9th Street just S. of I-70 when it rear-ended a Dodge Ram truck.

That truck was stopped in the left turn lane. KHP says the driver tried to get out of the way, but the other vehicle came up too fast. The impact pushed the truck into a sign and the center divider.

KHP says 20-year-old Casey Carson of Minneapolis was driving the first vehicle, 25-year-old Jacob Schneider of Salina was driving the truck.

Both were taken to the hospital for treatment, though the extent of their injuries has not been released.

KHP says Carson was not wearing a seat belt.
