Westlake Ace Hardware has paired with the Salvation Army  to collect money for a fan drive for low-income seniors, qualified families with children, and adults with disabilities.

Starting Saturday, July 19 through August 3, all Wichita-area Westlake Hardware stores will begin collecting donations to benefit the local Salvation Army. Each 'fan blade' can be bought with a $5 donation or $20 for a whole fan.

A kick-off celebration will be held at the Westlake located at 8829 west Central on Saturday, July 19 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Complimentary refreshments will be served while people have the opportunity to donate.

Westlake Hardware will donate 50 fans and then buy extra fans at cost with all the money donated to the store.
