KINGMAN COUNTY, Kan. -

No children were hurt after a school bus accident in Kingman County.

The accident happened about three miles east of Kingman, on NE 40 Ave, just before 3:45 p.m. Wednesday. Sheriff Randy Hill, Kingman County, said a USD 331 school bus was driving north, when it collided with a southbound SUV.

There were seven students on the bus at the time, ranging in age of 6 to 15 years old. The school notified the student's parents, who came to the scene to pick up the children.

The driver of the SUV was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment, and is expected to recover.

The incident is being investigated by the Kingman Sheriff's Office.
