WICHITA, Kan. -

Two Village Tours charter buses full of Shocker fans pulled out of Wichita about 9:30 a.m. Thursday and headed to St. Louis. Seats on the buses to the games this weekend were sold out and quick.

There were plenty of "Woohoo's!" and "Go Shox!" as fans piled into the buses before they hit the pavement. Some said it was their first time traveling to a game on a charter bus, but others who have made the trip before said there's just something great about traveling with other fans.

"Oh my gosh, we're so excited and to go with this whole group with Village Tours, little nervous though," said Jodie Forsyth.

"Last week in St. Louis there was eight or nine thousand people and we just took over the whole city and just everywhere you went there were Shockers fans and there's always a good following," added Rick Shroer. "It's fun to sit with the rest of the crowd too when you can, it's a great experience, just a lot of fun."

The drive to St. Louis takes about eight hours, and the two charter buses were expected to arrive sometime between 4:00 and 5:00 Thursday afternoon.

About two weeks ago, Village Tours took a whopping eight charter buses to St. Louis for the Missouri Valley Conference tournament. It was one of the biggest crowds they've taken to the games so far.
