COWLEY COUNTY, Kan. -

A second "sick looking" animal has been put down in less than a week in Cowley County.

Sheriff's Deputies responded to a call in the 2000 block of 332nd Rd. Thursday morning. They found a raccoon that was wandering around vehicles, acting strangely.

Officials contacted the Kansas Department of Wildlife and Parks concerning the animal's behavior.

The animal was put down and buried. No one was hurt.

It is unknown why the animal was ill.
