DERBY, Kan. -

A missing man from Derby that sparked a silver alert has been found safe in southern Missouri.

Charles Dillner, 87, was last seen leaving his home around 8:30 a.m. Thursday. He was driving to 29th and Webb to pick up his wife, but never arrived.

Investigators were concerned for his whereabouts because Dillner suffers from Dementia and has short-term memory loss.

Investigators followed a tip after Dillner's credit card was used at a business in Ava, Mo. Thursday night. Police said Dillner was seen on video.

He was located in Gainesville, southeast of Ava, a few hours later. Authorities have notified his family.
