Noon Update: The sister of a teenager who was found stabbed to death last Friday makes her first appearance in Saline County Court.
14-year-old Sierra Niehaus is charged with First Degree Murder in the death of 13-year-old Galazia Niehaus.
Prosecutors are determining whether to put her on trial as an adult.
The judge set a hearing date of September 5th.

A 14-year-old Saline County girl is due in court Tuesday morning where she will likely face charges in the death of a of her younger sister.
Sierra Niehaus was arrested Friday morning for stabbing her sister, Galazia, multiple times. The 13-year-old was found dead in the family's home in Saline County.
Investigators said Sierra ended up at the home of the Saline County Sheriff's granddaughter because the girls are friends. The sheriff's son is also a Saline County deputy. That is where the call to 911 was placed.
Monday afternoon, Saline County Attorney Ellen Mitchell said her office received a referral from the sheriff's office requesting that Niehaus be charged with first degree murder.
The sheriff's office and the Kansas Bureau of Investigation are working the case.
Niehaus is being held in the Regional Juvenile Detention Center in Junction City. She will have her first appearance in court tomorrow at 11 a.m.
Galazia would have been entering the 8th grade at Ell-Saline Middle School this year. A memorial fund to her has been setup through the school.
