WICHITA, Kan. -

The snow may be melting, but it's leaving behind another problem for drivers...potholes.

The City of Wichita says crews are responding to more pothole complaints following last week's winter storms. That's because the thawing and refreezing of snow and ice on the roads causes cracking in the pavement. That can cause the road material to breakdown.

Starting Thursday, city crews will be driving around town patching up the potholes they see.

You can report potholes you find by calling the city maintenance department at (316) 268-4013, or by going to www.wichita.gov and clicking on "Report an Issue".
