NEWTON, Kan. -

Investigators say someone stole a stop sign, which resulted in a crash.

It happened at the intersection of 48th and Spencer Road in Harvey County last weekend. An SUV was driving on 48th street, when a pickup truck approached the intersection where it was supposed to stop. The pickup didn't stop, because there was no sign, and the two cars collided.

Investigators say the SUV has extensive damage, but no one was hurt in the accident. The sheriff says you should slow down when approaching an intersection, to make sure other cars are going to stop.
