WICHITA, Kan. -

Leaders of a Wichita non-profit agency helping kids and adults say they are trying to keep it open despite continued financial challenges.

The Flint Hills Therapeutic Riding Center has been around since 1999.

It's based on using horses with trained therapists to help with physical, mental and emotional disabilities.

Keeping the program funded has always been a challenge.

Tuesday on the Brett & Sierra Show, lead instructor Amanda Meinhardt explained that the battle continues to keep Flint Hills operating, "We have no plans to close unless funding does not come through, we still, we did receive a grant from the Children's Miracle Network, we're still waiting to hear on a couple more grants and still really hoping for a corporate sponsor to come in and save us"
