WICHITA, Kan. -

Wichita Police are investigating an unusual theft where the suspect got away with a trailer full of costumes and theater props.

Someone called 911 after noticing a trailer was missing in the 200 block of South Lulu Monday. The trailer contained adult costumes and scenery for the Wichita Children's Theatre and Dance Center.

Monica Flynn, executive director, said the non-profit organization has been heart-sick over the crime.

"There was no meaning to that set than anybody but us," Flynn said. "Somehow, someway the show must go on. We will have to build a new set and buy a new trailer."

Production for the "Ugly Duckling" is scheduled to begin in October.

Police are looking for a silver trailer. Anyone with information is asked to call 911.
