WICHITA, Kan. -

Wichita Police are investigating after several storage units were burglarized.

It happened at Public Storage in the 1400 block of South Tyler Saturday morning. Police say the suspects entered the property on the north side, cutting through the units with a saw.

The suspects targeted 17 units and police said there are 17 victims. The loss is unknown.

Steve Jones operates a mattress business out of Public Storage and said he owns several units at the South Tyler location. He said the company hasn't told him about the burglaries.

"I'm not comfortable with this at all," Jones said. "I think I'm going to have to talk to the management."

Jones said even though his stock is insured, if something were to happen to it, he would lose out on sales.

"I have about $7,000 worth of merchandise on hand at all times," Jones said. He said it's not right that the company hasn't notified him or anyone else he knows that rents from Public Storage.

Police ask anyone with information in the crime to call 911.
