COLBY, Kan. -

Authorities in northwest Kansas are looking into a threat investigation at a Colby high school.

USD 315 administrators notified the Colby Police Department Monday after a student reportedly made alarming comments. Chief Ron Alexander, Colby Police, said the student was removed from the high school.

"There is currently no cause for alarm by students and staff," Alexander said in a press release.

The incident remains under investigation. No arrests have been made.

The Kansas Bureau of Investigation is assisting with the case.
