STAFFORD COUNTY, Kan. -

Three people have been hurt, one critically, in a crash in Stafford County.

It happened at the intersection of U.S. 50 and 140 Ave around 6 p.m. Wednesday. The St. John News reports an eastbound pickup, driven by 53-year-old Dale Eisenhour of Stafford, was slowing down to turn north on Zenith Road. An eastbound car, driven by 19-year-old Roberto Reyes-Alvarado of St. John, rear-ended the pickup.

Eisenhour was flown to a Wichita hospital for treatment. Reyes-Alvarado, and a passenger in his car, 16-year-old Marsena Irvine of St. John, received treatment at a local hospital.

Troopers said all three were wearing seatbelts.

The Kansas Highway Patrol continues to investigate the crash.
