WICHITA, Kan. -

One man is critically hurt and his juvenile son has serious injuries after a shooting in northwest Wichita last night.

A motive is unknown, but the victims' family members believe it might be gang related. Police are looking for two males in a red SUV, possibly a Tahoe, with tinted windows.

Just before 6 p.m. Saturday, in the area of 21st and Somerset, police say that vehicle pulled up in front of the victims' vehicle and shot them with a rifle-type weapon.

Family members says the adult victim, 28, was struck in the neck and the 9-year-old child has his foot grazed by a bullet. They were returning from a basketball game.

Eyewitnesses say the violence is disturbing.

"I thought it was kids playing with fireworks. I realized it was a gunshot and I saw people falling down and I turned and grabbed the dog and ran," said Christine Cisneros.
