(Wichita, Kan.) -

Braden Pelischek says he's the "ultimate Shocker fan" and has watched every Men's basketball game for the last three years.

A peek around his room shows he walks the walk and talks the talk. He's been a faithful, sitting in the front row of every home game for the last three years.

"I have a pre-game ritual with my friend Ron Baker and Nick Wiggins. Me and Baker give each other 5 and me and Nick give each other fist bumps, every game," he said.

Now a change in plans could threaten his game day ritual.

The Shocker Athletic Department is hosting a "top 10 student signs" for Saturday's game against the Indiana State Sycamores. The students who win will get to sit in the front row seats.

Pelischek, like any superstitious fan, says it makes him nervous.

"With the signs, it must makes me question. You always have those people who want their 15 minutes of fame," he said.

He says there are about 8 devoted fans who have waited in line for sometimes 7 hours to make sure they get those seats.  He says they do it for the team and the other fans.

He says he's not interested in making a sign but still wants to support his beloved Shockers.

"My game plan we've talked for four or five hours about what we wanna do, go to the game, stay home here and watch, try to go and get third row seats. As of now, it's up in the air," he said.

Not all front row seats go to those who make a sign, there are still some available for those who don't participate in the contest.

The Athletic Department says it's the first time they've done something like this and it's open for everyone to try.   Wu Shock will be the judge of the contest.

Pelischek told Eyewitness News Friday a local sign company contacted him, and made two signs for the student to enter the contest.
