WICHITA, Kan. -

An organic and natural food retailer has announced plans for its Wichita grand opening.

Whole Foods Market, 1423 N. Webb Rd., will open Sept. 3 at 9 a.m. The grocer will be focused on offering value-priced natural products, and supply Kansas-made goods.

The store offers a butcher shop with hand-cut meats, including local grass-fed beef, monthly bacon flavors and fresh seafood. The store will also feature a variety of fast casual food venues for grab-and-go meals. Natural health and beauty items include vitamins,  supplements, natural sports nutrition products, and Chicken Poop lip balm.

The 39,000 sq. feet facility was built with recycled and reclaimed materials. The store will undergo a Green Globes certification process-an online rating and assessment system for eco-friendly design and operating functions.

A sneak peek tour will be available to consumers Aug. 30 from 9 a.m. until 8 p.m. One-thousand passes are available through the store's website page.
