WICHITA, Kan. -

Wichita road crews are still working to clean up after this week's winter mess.

Wichita Public Works Director Joe Pajor said crews are still working 12-hour shifts, and will be on that schedule through the weekend.

Crews are putting down sand to help with traction.

Pajor said the city received a shipment of salt from Hutchinson. 100 tons of salt, which brings our city's total supply to 2025 tons. He says they are still concerned about the amount the city has.

The city isn't sure when it will start putting down the salt because it doesn't work when the temperatures are this low.

Roads remain snow-packed and icy around town. If you're out and about, please be careful.
