A Wichita man has been sentenced to life in prison in connection to child sex crimes.
Gerrian Green, 32, was sentenced to two consecutive life sentences for sexual crimes against a 14-year-old girl. Marc Bennet, Sedgwick County District attorney, said Green will not be eligible for parole.
Bruce Brown, Sedgwick County District Judge, sentenced Green for criminal sodomy and sexual exploitation of a child Friday.
Bennet said these crimes occurred last June when the girl was visiting Green's home in southeast Wichita.
Green is a documented gang member with a criminal history. He was convicted for criminal possession of a firearm in 2000, aggravated battery in 2005, aggravated intimidation of a witness and two counts of attempted aggravated indecent solicitation of a child in 2008. The victim in this 2008 case was a 12-year-old girl. She testified during the recent trial, but was unrelated to the case.
Green was on parole through the State of Kansas and was a registered sex offender at the time of the crimes last June.
