Concerns at home...
A 36/f who is a therapist for a USD 259 school reports a student being afraid to go home due to drug activity. A second person (presumably a sibling) confirmed the living conditions at the home. Police contacted an adult at the home (presumably a parent or caretaker) who admitted to recent drug use. The two youngsters were taken into protective custody.
A 21/f who works for a store in the 10600 block of W. 21st says two people filled two shopping carts with merchandise, then walked straight out the door with them - with no attempt to pay. a third person got into the car with them. They left the scene with the merchandise and have not been found.
A 33/m says he received phone calls from someone who claimed to be with a certain company. The caller wanted to sell him cheaper car insurance. The caller then asked for his debit or credit card number and that a “small transaction” would be charged to make sure it would go through. The man didn’t provide any of that information and called police to document the incident.
A 22/m says someone dumped around 200 pounds of tree branches on some property in the 2300 block of W. 15th N. No idea who did it.
A man says someone followed him home after a road rage incident. He says the other driver opened the front door to his home and started a physical altercation with the man. He suffered visible scratches. Police didn’t find the attacker.
