Each day, we comb through pages upon pages of crime reports from the Wichita Police Department. Below is a quick glance at some bits and pieces from those sheets.
These reports are designed to give you an idea of what residents and police are dealing with around town.

Hit with a BB gun…
An 18/m says someone hit him in the back of the head with a BB gun. He had a minor cut on the back of his head and needed several stitches. He wasn’t very cooperative with cops and refused to press charges.
Clean it up…
A 67/m says he saw someone let his dog do his business in the parking lot of a business at E 2nd and St. Francis. He says the dog goes in the flower beds and the owner doesn’t pick it up.
A 21/f says someone slashed her two front tires and keyed the hood while it was parked at her workplace in the 7700 block of E. Kellogg. She doesn’t know exactly who did it, but told police there were some “unhappy shoplifters” that were escorted out the day before. She believes they are responsible for the damage.
A 70/f reports someone stealing parts from an A/C unit belonging to a business in the 3400 block of S. Meridian. She says various parts were laying beside the unit, which was destroyed. Loss is estimated at more than $1,000.
A hotel in the 5900 block of W. Kellogg reports finding a bullet hole in a wall of a hotel room. A 28/f said her boyfriend, who is a felon, fired a shot through the wall during an argument. No one was hurt. He’ll be arrested if police find him.
Falling off his bike…
An officer reports another man falling off of a WPD bicycle while performing bike training in the 2200 block of W. 37th N. He hurt his knee and had to be treated at the hospital.
A 38/f says her neighbor threatened to pull out her “Ruger” on her son. She says the neighbor doesn’t like her son riding four-wheelers in their backyard because of the noise. She says this is part of an ongoing issue.
Where’s that hero cat when you need him?
A 70/m says he was bitten on the right hand by a white pit bull dog. He suffered four puncture wounds. The dog was not on the scene when police arrived. The man took himself to the hospital for treatment and will be okay. Animal control was called out to look for the dog.
Pizza man maced, robbed…
A 21/m says he was delivering pizza to the 1500 block of N. Floberta. When he got to the home, he was sprayed in the face with mace and struck in the head. The guy then took the pizza and ran from the scene. EMS was called out, but the delivery guy was okay and didn’t feel he needed medical attention. Police are looking for the thief.
A 45/m reports his neighbor has been causing problems for himself and his children and other neighbors because he’s using vile and profane language. He says the man gets upset when his car is parked on the street, his kids playing at a neighbor’s house and their balls going into his yard. He says this is an ongoing problem.
A 35/f says someone came into her business in the 500 block of N. McLean with a Groupon for a facial treatment. She says the woman wanted to get a deep tissue massage for less than half the regular price. She also said she was a spy for the WPD and she’s worked with them to get massage parlors shut down for inappropriate touching. The woman then wanted their employee to apply more pressure than usual, as if she was trying to get injured during the treatment. The business is concerned because the woman was acting so strangely.
Didn’t seem right…
A 50/m says he was dropping his children off at school in the 5100 block of S. Meridian. He says he saw a guy in a white cargo van filming children at a bus stop. He says the windows on the van were darkly tinted. He also says that when the guy noticed him looking, he put the camera down and took off.
A 30/f says her landlord got upset and gathered up her personal belongings and threw them into a trash bag - along with beer cans, cigarette butts and other trash. She says her curtains were damaged during the incident.
It’s all fun and games until…
A 33/m reports a woman allowing three or four young children to ride on top of her car when she picks them up from the bus stop, endangering their lives. He has video of one of the incidents on his cell phone. Police ran the tag and found out it was reported stolen in a different case.

A 48/m says someone threw a brick into his van several times causing damage in the 1700 block of S. Gold. He has no idea who did it. Pictures of the damage were submitted as evidence.
