These reports are designed to give you an idea of what residents and police are dealing with around town.

A 37/m says his wife struck him with a taser, causing two swollen marks and redness (from the taser barbs). She was arrested.
A 49/m says someone stole a cargo trailer, a white enclosed 6’x14’ trailer, from his home in the 100 block of N. Fawnwood. The trailer had some property in it - which is also missing.
That’s a lot of minutes!
A 59/m says his business’s phone lines were hacked by someone who is now making international calls. He has since shut that access down, but not before crooks made 30,000 (MATH: that’s nearly 21 straight days of phone calls) minutes worth of calls, which are now charged to his phone bill. The phone company says he is responsible for those calls.
A 44/f says someone punctured a hole in the gas tank of one of the vehicles belonging to a business in the 300 block of N. Ohio. She may have video of the incident.
A 59/m called police after finding a heavy-duty workbench in his front yard in the 900 block of W. Maple. The Black & Decker Workmate 550 was submitted to police as found property.
A 54/m says a man was hanging around his boat making threatening statements to him. He says the man hit his boat three times (very hard) with his hand and said that was how hard he was going to hit him. He says he used to play golf with the guy, but they’re more just acquaintances now.
A 21/f who works for a tanning salon in the 7800 block of W. Maple says someone keeps calling the business upset about a spray tan. The person was using profane language while speaking with her.
A 75/m says someone from a business dumped seven loads of rock gravel with a petroleum base on his property. He doesn’t want it there. He says the company is doing some kind of roofing.
Up to no good…
A 37/f says she saw two unknown guys jumping over a fence into her backyard in the 1200 block of N. Sheridan. They tried to see if the windows were locked, and apparently took off. Nothing was stolen.
A 25/f says someone is stealing electricity from an apartment complex. The woman is running an extension cord from the laundry room to her apartment. This has happened on at least two occasions.
Serious about speeding…
A 31/f says a man ran up to her car as she was driving in the 200 block of N. Flora and yelled at her to slow down. She says the guy had a stick or hoe in his hand at the time and she felt threatened. She says the man told one of the neighbors that he would shoot out one of her tires if he saw her speeding down the street again. The report does not state whether the woman was actually speeding.
Kicking & screaming...
An officer reports being attacked by a woman he was trying to arrest. She tried to pull away and kicked him in the shin, then continued to kick him until she tripped and fell to the ground. At that point, she continued kicking him and trying to scratch the officer on the arm. Looks like the officer was trying to take her in on a warrant for running a stop sign. She now faces battery of a law enforcement officer charges.
Seemed a bit strange…
A 64/m says he was shopping at a store (location not listed) when he was approached by two young women who were dressed very nicely and appeared to be in their 20s. He says the two started asking him where the restroom was, they then asked for some of his personal information. He wound up giving one of them his phone number and he believes they took his picture, too. He eventually told the women to leave him alone and that he is much too old for them. They told him they would see him again. He told police he had no idea what their intent was, but wanted to make a report because it all seemed a bit suspicious.
