BB gun vandals arrested…
Two adults and two juveniles were arrested for shooting BB guns at vehicles in the 1900 block of N. Charlotte.
Coin machine larceny…
A 64/m says someone forced open a cash machine owned by a business in the 3800 block of W. Central. The thief then took bills and coins from the machine. The man says whoever did it diverted the security camera before breaking into the machine.
The same thing happened in the 500 block of E. 13th N.
Sugar in the gas tank…
A 31/f says someone vandalized her vehicle in the 300 block of S. Tyler. She believes the person put sugar in her gas tank.
Creepy dog guy…
A 23/f says she contacted a guy about a dog she saw online. The guy told her the dog was already given away. Since then, he’s been texting her and cursing her out and even asked her if she was single and if she could send him nude photos of herself.
Police interviewed a 16-year-old girl in reference to being placed on a web page by someone else to perform sex acts. She was taken in to police protective custody. The report does not provide any other information about the case.
An 81/m says someone called him and told him he needed to pay for his male enhancement order. He told the caller that he hadn’t placed an order or received a package with a male enhancement product. He believes it was a scam to get him to give out his credit card number. The caller’s number is (949) 201-1229.
A 33/f says someone stole 14 empty beer kegs from a fenced-in area at a business in the 500 block of W. Douglas.
A 28/f says she was contacted by someone claiming she’d been awarded a grant based on her good credit. She was told to provide a wiring transfer fee in order to receive the funds. She was then told to provide a tax form fee. She was contacted about another fee, which she also paid. She then contacted the caller because she had not received the grant money and they tried to get additional fees from her. She hung up and called police. The report does not state how much money she sent.
Shooting at birds…
A 40/m called police and reported two juveniles shooting a BB gun at birds in the 1200 block of S. Minneapolis. Police contacted the two. They were released to their parents. The rifle was turned in to police.
