While he was sleeping…
A 69/m says someone forced their way into his home in the 1000 block of S. Glenn while he was sleeping. He says the person took some things from the home, some of those items were found on a nearby sidewalk. After looking around his property, he found some things that belonged to someone else, perhaps the burglar. That property was submitted to police.
A 50/m says someone stole his bike which was chained to a utility pole in the 600 block of E. Elm. He says the nearby bike rack was full. Police don’t know who took the bike.
A 48/f says someone has called her office in the 200 block of N. Market several times. The woman is screaming, ranting and raving about how everybody has taken her money and she wants it back. Recently, she’s been calling and stating she will cut off hands, feet and mutilate everyone at the woman’s office.
A 30/f says three people came into the store where she works in the 6900 block of E. 21st N. They loaded up shopping carts with merchandise, then darted from the store, loaded the stolen stuff into a car and took off.
A 54/f reports someone throwing a hairbrush through a window of a business in the 400 block of N. Topeka. No idea who did it.
A 53/f reported to police that someone made a “smart comment” again while she was picking her daughter up from the 1500 block of S. Broadway. She got it on tape this time.
A 47/m says he and a woman went to a home in the 2600 block of S. Vassar to pick someone up. While there, someone else pulled out a shotgun and demanded his money. He gave the guy his money after he was struck with the gun. While this was happening, the woman tried to leave, but was grabbed and pulled away from the door by another guy. They both left without further incident after surrendering the cash. Police went by the home, but no one was home.
