A Wichita woman has been indicted for running a prostitution business with as many as 20 escorts who accepted credit cards and offered discount coupons to loyal customers.
Saundra J. Lacy, 60, is charged with 27 counts of racketeering in promotion of prostitution.
According to an indictment filed on Tuesday, Lacy operated an escort service called Jessie’s Primetime Entertainment at 304 S. Laura. The business was licensed by the City of Wichita as an escort service, required escorts to carry condoms and to engage in sexual acts if a customer requested.
Lacy charged customers $160 for half an hour with an escort and $185 for an hour. She paid her escorts $75 to $85 for a half hour date and $90 to $100 for an hour. Escorts who had a current escort license from the City of Wichita were paid more than those who had no license.
The indictment goes on to say Lacy distributed discount coupons to escorts that entitled customers to a $10 discount at their next date and kept track of the serial numbers on the coupons in a coupon book.
If convicted, Lacy faces a maximum penalty of five years in federal prison and a fine up to $250,000 on each count.
