Flames moved quickly to damage a shed and other nearby items east of Hutchinson.

The fire broke out about 1:15 in the 2700 block of St. Elmo Drive. Crews found smoke and flames on arrival coming from a small shed and an RV.

Flames extended to 2 campers and a Suburban at the rear of the residence. Hutchinson Acting Battalion Chief Jeremy Unruh said a large shed was threatened to the north due to gusty winds Wednesday afternoon.

The fire was brought under control in 20 minutes. Crews remained on the scene for another half an hour. Damage was estimated at $12,000. No cause was determined.
