Wichita State's Final Four run and an undefeated start to this basketball season is paying off, off the court.
The undergraduate admissions office says they've seen a 60-percent increase in applications this year. About 1,800 more students applied this year compared to last year. The admissions office said it has been recruiting heavily out of state.
Aaron Hamilton, Wichita State admissions, said applications have been coming in from across the United States.
"One thing we attribute to our growth as well is the way the community has embraced Wichita state and the basketball team really facilitated that," Hamilton said.
