WICHITA, Kan. -

Wichita State's associate head coach Chris Jans will be hired as the head coach of Bowling Green.

Jans is expected to formally announce the move on Monday according to a source of CBS.

Jans is a former junior college head coach. He has spent the last six years at Wichita State University. He was associate head coach when the Shockers made the Final Four last season as well as their historic 35-1 run this season.

Jans will replace Louis Orr. Sports Illustrated reports that Orr's contract was not renewed after Bowling Green finished 12-20 this season.

Head coach Gregg Marshall told Eyewitness Sports that he knew Jans would get offers, and that he deserves them.
