The malls and stores are packed on this Black Friday but in a couple of places in Wichita, you'll find an unusual sight for November - garage sales.

"I'm just selling to get a car, I really want a car that badly," says Emanuela Kelly who organized a garage sale in east Wichita.

Kelly saw an opportunity to get rid of stuff she's outgrown, from toys to a unicycle.  And her sales tactics have no bounds.

"I should start dancing for people, maybe they'll come if I dance and sing," she says.

Luke Bell also had the same idea in another part of town. "It's something we've been trying to get around to for about six months," Bell says.

On this chilly November Friday, Bell sat waiting for customers, with a space heater by his side.

"I'm just taking what anybody wants to offer," he says while admitting that "it probably won't make up for what we spend today."

Emanuela also admits the whole idea is a little nuts but hopes her efforts pay off.

"I have never thought of having anyone would be crazy enough to have a garage sale after Thanksgiving but here i am doing it myself so I guess I could say i am crazy now."
