The Saline County Sheriff's Office says a body found Wednesday at the home of former Emergency Management Director Joe Koch was Koch. His death has been ruled a suicide.
Koch was arrested in July on charges of aggravated battery, attempted aggravated criminal sodomy, criminal restraint and criminal damage. He had pled not-guilty and was scheduled to go to trial in January.
At the time of his arrest, Koch had been the Emergency Management Director since January 2010. He resigned after his arrest.
