The man accused of robbing a bank in Rice County and shooting at a Kansas Highway Patrol trooper in Saline County made his first appearance in court on the charges Friday morning.

30-year-old Jason Gleason was formally charged with several crimes, including one count of attempted first degree murder, four counts of attempted second degree murder, two counts of aggravated kidnapping, two counts of kidnapping and two counts of criminal discharge into an occupied vehicle.

Court documents also revealed the identities of the trooper and the female passenger involved in the case. The trooper is identified as Ryan Wolting. The woman in the vehicle is identified as Chrystal Bell, though there's no word on if or how she is related to Gleason. The three children, who were also in the car, were not identified.

Three people were injured.  The Kansas Highway Patrol says Gleason crashed his car Tuesday night and then started shooting at a trooper.  The trooper was in his patrol car and was injured by glass. He has since been released from the hospital.

A woman and child were also shot during the incident.  Their conditions are still unknown.

Gleason remains in Saline County Jail on $1-million bond.
