New charges have been filed against the owner of a Salina business that sells potpourri.
Eric Srack owner of “The Grind” has never shied away from his product known as potpourri.
“If you know what's going on…then you know what’s going on…if not, we’re not trying to let you in on it,” said Srack in a December interview with Eyewitness News.
Last month the owner of the grind was arrested for possessing the now illegal substance known as potpourri. On Monday, Salina police arrested Srack…again, this time for possession and distribution of a controlled substance. Officials say they searched “The Grind”, a warehouse owned by Srack and they also went into Srack’s home searching for evidence.
Officials say the other business in Salina that is known for selling potpourri is “Pack Rat Smokes”. Eyewitness News spoke to management at the store, they said, “we have stopped selling our potpourri”.
When asked to be interviewed on camera management declined the opportunity. Capt. Mike Sweeney of the Salina Police Department was informed of the claim made by Pack Rat that they had apparently stopped selling the product.
“It would be great if they do not sell anymore,” said Capt. Sweeney.
While “Pack Rat Smokes” remains open for business “The Grind” appears to be closed. Eyewitness News tried calling the store and got no answer.
Salina based attorney Julie McKenna is representing Srack, Eyewitness News has left numerous messages with her office…none have been returned.
Salina police say Srack was released this Tuesday morning from jail after posting a $75,000 dollar bond.
