SALINA, Kan.—
Installation began on a new piece to Salina's artistic landscape on Tuesday.
Crews spent the day working on "Dawn's Silver Lighting." a public arts piece on South Ninth Street.
It is made up of 6 metallic sculptures that have a fine, branch like pattern on them. The artist, Barbara Grygutis, got inspiration from Kansas' winter landscape and how the bare trees looked with the sun behind them.
The official dedication will be Thursday evening at 7PM.
