Jones and Ankiel out of NBC World Series

Chipper Jones and Rick Ankiel will no longer be a part of the Kansas Stars playing in the NBC World Series in August.

Albert Pujols drove in four runs, Hector Santiago won his fifth consecutive start and the Los Angeles Angels beat the Kansas City Royals 6-2 on Monday night.

The Wichita Wingnuts erased a 3-0 deficit to force extra innings, but fell 4-3 in 10 innings in the opener of their series with the Lincoln Saltdogs Monday night at Lawrence-Dumont Stadium.
