Wichita native signs with 49ers

A former star at Wichita Northwest hopes to be drafted into the NFL this weekend.


Kansas State linebacker Elijah Lee became the second Wildcat to be taken in this weekend’s NFL Draft as he was selected by the Minnesota Vikings with the 14th pick of the seventh round – No. 232 overall – on Saturday.


Brent Kemnitz, Kamerion Wimbley, Alan Schuckman, and Mark Potter lead an impressive 2017 class into the Wichita Sports Hall of Fame.


Wichita State scored seven runs in the sixth inning to win 12-7 and complete the sweep of Illinois State.


Miguel Sano and Joe Mauer hit consecutive two-run doubles in the eighth inning and the Minnesota Twins rallied for a 6-4 victory over the Kansas City Royals on Friday night.
