Shocker sweep season series against Kansas

No. 30 Wichita State powered past Kansas 14-5 Tuesday evening to sweep the season series.


The Kansas City Royals announced today that the club has reinstated outfielder Alex Gordon and catcher Salvador Perez from the disabled list, returning both from rehab assignments.


Wichita State forward Markis McDuffie will enter the NBA draft as a method of professional measurement, but plans to return to the Shockers in 2018-19.


Wichita's season comes to an end after a 5-3 loss in game 6 in the round one of the Kelly Cup Playoffs.


Houston used a two-run sixth inning to defeat Wichita State 3-1 and sweep the three-game series.
