Virginia senior goalie Kim Kolarik (May 17)
After missing seven games with a broken hand, the South River graduate came back just in time to help the then-No. 20 Cavaliers (11-9) beat Duke in the Atlantic Coast Conference tournament, finish the regular season at .500 and earn an NCAA tournament berth. Last weekend, she kept their improbable run going in wins over Penn, 12-6, and Georgetown, 10-8. Kolarik made seven saves against the Quakers, then had nine in the win over the Hoyas, including seven in the first half as the Cavaliers took a 6-4 lead. She has a 9.03 goals-against average and a .420 save percentage.
