The 2015 NASCAR schedule will look a lot different than it did in 2014. The most notable changes will involve a trio of Southern tracks.

Atlanta moves from the Labor Day weekend night race, to the second race of the season, with the race at Darlington moving back to Labor Day weekend. After battling weather for years, Bristol moves it’s date to April and NASCAR will have a three week "West Coast Swing" that includes California, Vegas and Phoenix in March.

“The 2015 NASCAR national series schedules promise to provide our fans with the compelling competition and storylines they so richly deserve," said Brian France, NASCAR Chairman and Chief Executive Officer. "These enhancements to our race dates, particularly in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series, will be of benefit to our fans and other stakeholders in our industry.”

Kansas Speedway keeps its two dates on the schedule and retains its night race in the spring, which will be run on May 9th this season. The fall race inside the ‘Chase for the Championship’ is two weeks later next season, but it doesn't change the track's position in the Chase eliminations.

“Being a part of the Chase for the NASCAR Sprint Cup is exciting for our fans,” said Kansas Speedway President Pat Warren. “And with this new date, we’ll still be a part of the Contender round with the remaining championship drivers trying to win the Hollywood Casino 400 to ensure that they move on to the next round.”
